Μήνυμα προς τον ακροατή:

Τα τρία κοµµάτια που αποτελούν το The Last Days of Spring EP ηχογραφήθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια της άνοιξης του 2011. Αφορµή για αυτήν την κυκλοφορία στάθηκε ουσιαστικά η εσωτερική κατάσταση της πόλης στην οποία ζω, όπου τον τελευταίο καιρό µια διαρκής ανησυχία είχε παγώσει τα πρόσωπα των ανθρώπων. Αν κάποτε υπήρχε εδώ ένας ενθουσιασµός για την αναζήτηση της χαράς, έµοιαζε τώρα να σβήνει σε µια γρήγορη αποσύνθεση µιας µηχανικής ζωής. 

Ταυτόχρονα, ρόλο έπαιξαν και κάποιες συναντήσεις µε φίλους καλλιτέχνες ή συνεργάτες µουσικούς σε διάφορα µικρά και πιο «κλειστά» στούντιο αυτής της πόλης, παράνοµα εργοστάσια λαθραίων ονείρων, εκεί που ζουν και δουλεύουν άνθρωποι για έναν έρωτα ο οποίος δεν γνωρίζει τι σηµαίνει χρόνος και για µια επανάσταση που δεν τελειώνει ποτέ. Με έναν από αυτούς γνωριζόµαστε ήδη από τις αρχές των 90’s, πριν ακόµα το Λος Άντζελες και η Νέα Υόρκη τον κρατήσουν µακριά από την Αθήνα για αρκετά χρόνια. Οι δρόµοι µας ξαναέσµιξαν όταν πριν από έξι χρόνια η φωτογραφία και η δηµοσιογραφία µάς έφεραν και πάλι κοντά. Όταν ζήτησα από τον Freddie F. να δουλέψουµε µαζί σε κάτι μουσικό, δέχτηκε µε χαρά, κι έτσι συνεργάστηκε στο Low Land, και, απ’ ό,τι φαίνεται, ήταν µια συνεργασία που στο µέλλον θα γεννήσει και άλλα θορυβώδη όνειρα.

Εξίσου σημαντικές υπήρξαν και αυτές οι εξωτερικές ηχογραφήσεις, οι οποίες έγιναν κατά τη διάρκεια της πρώτης ειρηνικής συγκέντρωσης των Αγανακτισµένων στο Σύνταγµα, στις 25 του περασµένου Μαΐου, ηχητικά δείγµατα που µετά βρήκαν το δρόµο τους µέσα από ένα RE-201 Space-Echo και συµπεριλήφθηκαν στα δύο τελευταία κοµµάτια του EP.

Message to the listener:

The three tracks included in The Last Days Of Spring EP were recorded during the spring of 2011. The essential reason for these recordings was the internal situation of the city where I live, where a constant concern seemed frozen on people’s faces. Where any excitement ever existed in search of happiness, seemed now to be fast disintegrating into a panting decay of a mechanical life.
 
At the same time, some gatherings with fellow artists and comrades musicians played some role. Meetings in a small and more “closed” studio city, factories of clandestine dreams, where people live and work for a love that knows nothing about time and a revolution that never ends. One of them I knew since the beginning of the 90’s, even before Los Angeles and New York kept him away from Athens for several years. Our paths met again, when six years ago, photography and journalism brought us back together. When I asked Freddie F. to collaborate with me, he accepted gladly, so he worked on the spoken delirium of Low Land, and from there it appeared to make a collaboration that in the future will breed more clandestine dreams.
 
Equally important were these field recordings, which I made at Syntagma Square during the first peaceful assembly on May 25th. Digital audio files that found their way through an RE-201 Space-Echo machine and finally placed in the last two tracks of this EP.
